The Embassy Row Hotel + Station Kitchen & Cocktails

Arrival: Check-in time at Embassy Row is 3 p.m., like most hotels. My arrival went super smoothly. The modern and funky entrance and lobby of the hotel gives off immediate cool vibes and sets the tone for your stay.

The Room: I loved the natural light in our room. We had two comfy beds and a pretty large desk working area. The bathroom was not too big but had good and natural lighting. They also had what I call a “Selfie” Mirror–aka a full-body mirror outside the bathroom, which is very important when you have multiple outfit changes throughout your stay. Their coffee maker was also was buzzworthy and I loved donning their non-bulky robes.

Embassy Row HotelAmenities: The hotel has an amazing rooftop pool which you can visit during your stay, any day. They offer unique and fun activities like silent disco, yoga, splash cycle class and more. You also don’t have to leave the hotel to grab brunch or dinner. The hotel has its own restaurant inside with a great food and cocktail menu selection. More about Station Kitchen & Cocktails below! Also, def check out their “Underground Playground” with games such as shuffleboard and ping pong.

Station Kitchen & Cocktails: During your stay at the hotel, you can dine at Station Kitchen which has a full menu, and most importantly, really good cocktails. From the few dishes I sampled, I would recommend sharing their loaded tots and Maryland crab dip. As my main dish I got their grilled salmon, which was delicious, but I would also recommend their seafood truffle pasta. In regards to booze, I went with my favorite spirit (mezcal)! Their Smokey Trolley made with Cazadores Blanco Tequila, Montelobos Mezcal, Pineapple Juice, Lime Juice, Agave Nectar, Lavender Bitters, Maldon Salt was everything I’ve been craving. What We Loved: I love boutique hotels and this one is def one of my faves! You can’t help but feel happy when staying at this hotel. The decor, the vibrant colors on each floor, just can’t help but give you good vibes. I also like that they offer pretty awesome packages that include specific activities to make your stay even better. I shot a video for The Embassy Row a few months ago, in which we highlight the “Find your Fun In DC” package. You can view the video HERE!

SCDC Tip: The hotel has so much to offer, so make sure you explore each nook and cranny to the max! I also loved that the hotel is located close to all the amenities you might need during your stay; Mimosa salon is within a five-min walk if you need your nails done and there are tons of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Also, don’t forget to bring your bathing suit if you visit during the summer months!
